Beginning July 11-12th, Faith will have three services each weekend. This will likely be in place at least through early August and is intended to offer more opportunities to attend services while allowing ample room for social distancing.

Saturday evening service will be at 5:00 p.m. It will be a more abbreviate service with no music, and fewer readings and liturgy. The focus will be on confession, prayer, and the sermon for the week. There will be Holy Communion at this service.

Sunday mornings will go back to two services: 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. The services will be identical, and both will have Holy Communion.

On July 12th, we will also resume Bible Class AND Sunday School from 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. Sunday School will be for children ages 4 through 6th grade. 7th grade and up are encouraged to join the Bible Class in the Fellowship Hall. Younger children can be present in the Fellowship Hall with their parents as well.

By popular demand, the topic for Bible Class with be racism in America and steps toward healing that divide. We will be guided by a study written by Rev. B. Keith Haney, a black Lutheran pastor and Western Iowa District Assistant to the President for Missions, Stewardship, and Human Care, entitled “One Nation, Under God”.

So please plan to attend both service and Bible Study, starting July 11-12th. And feel free to invite a friend as we continue to engage in God’s Word together.
