We are pleased to announce that Faith Lutheran Church in Demotte, Indiana has just been awarded a grant from the Center for Congregations in the amount of almost $5,000 to help us invest in new technology elements that will allow us to better share our congregational life and worship with others online.
This grant will be used to purchase the equipment and licenses needed to set up a livestream of our worship services each week. This will be a live video of what’s happening in our sanctuary, so that both members and non-members alike will be able to follow along in real time with our regular service from our website when they cannot join us in person. It will also enable us to more easily record our sermons to be shared online at a later time for revisiting and sharing with others.
As part of this plan, we are looking for volunteers for a team that will learn the process/system to facilitate this each week. So if you have a bit of tech gifting and expertise, please reach out to Pastor Brett or contact the church to let us know.
Hopefully, we’ll be able to get the system set up and operational by the end of June. In the meantime, we will be recording the sermon each Saturday night and sharing it in video format in time for Sunday morning so those who cannot attend at this time.
